Rabbi Ron Goldberg (Repeat)

You can never have too much of Rabbi Ron!   Today is a repeat of our show together last summer (2019).  Here is his bio:

Rabbi Ron Goldberg was raised in a Jewish family in New York City.  He began sneaking out to church during his senior year of High School. A friend then gave him the "forbidden" New Testament to read and he soon discovered that Yeshua (Jesus) really is the Jewish Messiah. "After coming to faith in Messiah Yeshua my parents thought about having a funeral for me," Ron stated. "Instead, they sent me to a rabbi for deprogramming and intensive counseling!"

His relationship with his parents was very difficult for several years but giving them grandchildren helped restore it. Rabbi Goldberg's wife, Vinu and he, are an inter-faith couple with 5 children.

Since 1989 he has served at Messianic Congregations and spoken at churches and Bible studies. "God has called me to raise my voice like a shofar (Isa. 58). I teach about Israel, the Messiah of Israel and the Feasts of Israel (God's Appointments with His children)."

Enjoy the music too!!

Daniel Chadwick

There was a VERY handsome man in the studio today!  OK, I am a tiny bit biased.   You see my husband, Daniel, decided to join me today and I was thrilled!  Daniel teaches Religion, Ethics and Philosophy online for 5 colleges and has a unique understanding of the scriptures!  He was raised in a Lutheran home and began reading the Bible as a literary work long before he knew the Lord.

He studied Hebrew, Greek (and other languages too) and is able to understand scripture in a scholarly way.

Today we discussed similarities and differences between the Jewish Bible, or Tanakh, and the Christian Old Testament, which is slightly different (the books are in a different order, etc.)

It was a stimulating discussion and I am inspired to spend more time in the Word of God!

Ron Cantor Again!

It's been a few years since I interviewed fellow Virginian Ron Cantor on Bagels and Blessings!  Yes, we both grew up in Richmond but didn't know each other.  Probably because I'm older (shh!!).

Ron is an excellent author, speaker and evangelist and recently he completed his latest book, "Birth Pangs."  It's really excellent and relevant to our current situation with Covid-19, politics, the End Times, Black Lives Matter, and much more.   I highly recommend it.

In his own words:

"Here is a little bit about me. I serve as the CEO of Tikkun International and presently I host a daily TV show called "Out of Zion" on GODTV.

I was born into a Jewish home, circumcised and Bar Mitzvah'd, but I did not know God! I realized at age 17, there must be more. This led me on a journey where I discovered that Yeshua (Jesus), whom I thought was for the Gentiles, was in fact, the Jewish Messiah.

I received my degree from Messiah Biblical Institute and served as the Associate Rabbi at Beth Messiah Messianic congregation in Rockville, MD until we moved to Odessa, Ukraine to work in the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute. In Ukraine we birthed a congregation in the city upon which Fiddler on the Roof was based, Berdichev. We then moved to Budapest, Hungary.

In 1999 we accepted an invitation to teach Jewish Roots at the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry. In 2003 my wife Elana, a native Israeli, and I, along with our girls, made aliyah (moved to Israel). I served as the co-pastor and interim senior pastor of King of Kings Community in Jerusalem.

During this time we birthed the Isaiah 2 Initiative, taking Israeli young adults to third world nations to preach the message of Yeshua. In Nigeria we saw many miracles and tens of thousands profess faith in Yeshua.

In 2013 I agreed to become the lead pastor of Tiferet Yeshua, a Hebrew-speaking congregation in Tel Aviv. Three years later we turned the congregation over to a native-born Israeli, and, while still functioning as an elder there, I now serve as CEO of Tikkun International, a global Messianic family of 40-plus congregations and ministries in Israel and the US, and beyond, including our own congregation, Tiferet Yeshua."

Today is also Sukkot so I played some music from Nancy Santiago, Steve McConnell, Marty Goetz and Liberated Wailing Wall.

Enjoy!!!
