David Silver Interview

Today's program features an interview with David Silver.  David is originally from Auckland, New Zealand and immigrated to Israel in 1992. The initial vision for Out of Zion remains the same – that is to bring the Jewish people to their God and Messiah. By enlisting the Church's assistance, the task will be much more attainable. David is now sensing a strong call to divide his time between direct involvement in Jewish evangelism and bringing the Hebraic roots of the faith to the Church. He believes that this understanding must be returned to the Church as a preparation for the return of the Lord, who is coming back for His Bride.  For more info please visit http://www.out-of-zion.com/.

You'll also enjoy the music of Jonathan Settel, Barry & Batya Segal, Corry Bell/Lev Shelo, Zemer Levav and Beckah Shae!

Barry Segal Interview

Today's program featured the wonderful music of Barry and Batya Segal, and an interview with Barry.
Batya first became internationally recognized for the rich worship music that she and her husband, Barry Segal, pioneered together. Batya was born in Jerusalem to an Orthodox Jewish Yemenite family. She has infused the rich sounds of her heritage into her music, along with the faith kindled in her after a profound experience and encounter with the Messiah Yeshua. Batya as a songwriter and Barry as a musician soon became well known through their Messianic music and teaching ministry. Barry and Batya now have a number of albums including "Sh'ma Yisrael," "Go Through the Gates," "Adonai" and "Timeless Sounds."
Barry and Batya Segal are the founding directors of a humanitarian aid center in Jerusalem. Their longing to help build and restore Israel inspired them to pioneer the nonprofit charity organization, Vision for Israel and The Joseph Storehouse, in 1994. The work currently functions as an international humanitarian aid center operating in the Judean Hills just outside of Jerusalem.

Donita & Joshua Manning - Waiting for the Right One

How do you know when it's the right one?   Donita and Joshua waited a long time for their prayers to be answered.   This sweet newly-wed couple shared some encouragement on today's show.

Donita's story:

After 20 years traveling the globe pursuing a higher education, mastering the craft of the written word, and bringing the Good News of Messiah to the Jewish community, Donita settled in Jacksonville, Florida three years ago for a final adventure — hoping she might find that special someone who could keep up with her. A year later, she met Joshua, who invited her to study prophecy. They jumped into ballroom dancing lessons with both feet. He fixed her computer, her car and supper. She soon found herself struggling to keep up with him — legs screaming and lungs burning — while he lightly jogged ahead of her yelling, "C'mon! Just another half mile!" Regardless, Donita decided she had found the man with whom to take the land of Jacksonville and beyond.

Joshua's story:

Joshua grew up in a Christian home and chose to rebel against God when he was 11 years old. His rebellion turned into a 23-year drug addiction that would create a child out of wedlock, a failed marriage and many lost relationships. The week after he got divorced, a friend of his called him to say hello. He told him how he found Jesus and that he should come back to Jacksonville and get his life back together. In 2007, Joshua gave his addiction to God. It took two years for everything to fall into place, and over time, he has felt closer and closer to Him. In 2012, he proclaimed to God that he would walk the earth alone if that is what He wanted. Three months later he was ballroom dancing with his best friend and now wife. Joshua says, "I never did anything to deserve one ounce of forgiveness and ended up getting my heart's desire."

You'll enjoy some great music too (Marty Goetz, Misha Goetz, Sue Samuel, and Ted Pearce).

Ben Campbell Interview

Being born in a bakery doesn't make you a bagel any more than being raised in a believing home makes you a believer!   I've heard that expression many times.   Ben Campbell was raised in a Messianic home but in college he made his own decision to follow Yeshua.   Lately the Lord has shown Ben some amazing things, using imagery and stories to demonstrate what it means to put the Lord first in your life.

In this broadcast you'll hear fabulous songs from Sue Samuel, Jonathan Settel, Barry & Batya Segal, and Elana Watson, and you'll gain a deeper understanding of what it means to follow the Lord with all your heart.

Enjoy!

Justin Kron Interview

It was wonderful chatting with Justin Kron.   He is a second generation believer and I was intrigued by his story.  Justin became a follower of Yeshua at a young age and grew up with one foot in the Jewish world and one foot in the Christian world. He has subsequently developed a passion for acquainting Christians with the Jewish roots and heritage of the Christian faith, and to become better equipped and engaged in living an authentic faith among their Jewish friends and neighbors.

Since 1998, Justin has served as a National Ministries Representative with Chosen People Ministries and is the founder and director of experience Israel, a short-term ministry and spiritual pilgrimage program for young adults. He is also the founder and coordinator of the Kesher Forum in Chicago, an interdenominational learning community for those who are interested in learning more about Jewish culture and building bridges with their Jewish friends and neighbors.

Justin has served with the Danny Byram Ministries, a concert ministry to the U.S. military, and as an Area Manager with Promise Keepers in Chicago, where he represented the organization as the national liaison to the Messianic Jewish community. Justin studied at the Moody Theological Seminary and is a frequent contributor to various blogs and radio programs on topics related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, historical anti-Semitism and the Jewishness of Jesus. He is a member of Willow Creek Community Church where Justin serves on the Leadership Advisory Council, and his wife, Judy, directs Women of Willow at their North Shore congregation in Northfield, Illinois.

You'll also enjoy wonderful music from Jonathan Settel, Greg Silverman, Sue Samuel, Paul Wilbur, Kathy Shooster and The Schleps!
