Today's show features the music of Jeff Koch. Jeff Koch is a singer/songwriter making spiritually themed roots-rock
music reminiscent of Eric Clapton, Jack Johnson, and Cat Stevens - or maybe Bob Dylan!
Jeff's musical journey began at the University of Michigan, where he
graduated with a degree in English literature and discovered a knack for
putting music and words together. As a listener, Jeff cut his teeth on
"classic rock," quickly ranging out to funk, folk, and world music. As
a performer, Koch's instinct for language evokes the feel of a folk
story nestled in a rich tapestry of rhythm and blues.
As you will hear in the interview, after coming to faith after college, these musical styles merged with
his faith and Jewish identity to produce an organic and alluring blend.
In his music, Jeff weaves together scripture and liturgy with broad
American roots to create an addictive, groove-oriented sound which
crosses traditional boundaries. Through his music, Jeff's goal is to
encourage and build bridges of hope.
Enjoy!
